I am such a sucker for illustration and watercolor. My natural response was to start drooling upon laying eyes on these watercolor wedding invitations by Happy Menocal featured in the Once Wed Magazine. Not to mention that these colors are my idea of absolute perfection. I’m even dreaming up a floral scheme to go right along with this gorgeous stationery suite……..
Check out this lovely wedding suite below and more illustrations at Happy Menocal’s website here.
Happy Monday. AP and I just returned from a week long excursion through New England, and it was glorious. We celebrated his grandmother’s 90th birthday with family in the Berkshires, headed to Boston for a few days and enjoyed some of our favorite bean town establishments, headed up to Portland, Maine, then finally up to Little Cranberry Island off of Bar Harbor. Finally, we returned to NYC and spent the weekend with my family taking advantage of the empty city, and eating at my sister’s restaurant where she is a pastry chef! Was so fun.
I was delighted to come back and see that the Stationery Shop made it into the August issue of Lucky Magazine! Check it out in the Web Obsessions section. Here is a pic to tide you over until I scan a real copy of the feature.
(don’t mind the smudges – I came across this while drying my nails at my fave nail establishment)
Happy almost weekend, party people. This is a VERY long overdue post to let you all know that the fabulous Snow & Graham is now available on the Stationery Shop! Check out some of the selections we are currently carrying below:
Ummmm… and did you get a look at what May subscriptions looked like? Get on the train and get yourself or a loved one a subscription of stationery!
I am excited to share my first ever National Stationery Show experience with all of you on this grey Thursday. I am still bursting with all the amazing paper goods, and the fabulous community of people I feel so lucky to be a part of. I have that buzzy/happy, can’t sleep feeling just recounting all of the ideas that have come out of the show. Time to get to work!
So a bit about the show. The National Stationery Show takes place annually in May at the Javitz Center in New York City. There are hundreds of booths filled with the most amazing letterpress, gold foil, engraved, illustrated, screen-printed, watercolor-ed, and the list goes on. I spent nearly two full days walking the show and trying to get to all my favorite designers as well as scout out some new ones. It was jaw-dropping how much gorgeous, original stationery products there were at the show. I consider myself to be a bit of an expert, and the show totally humbled me. There was SO much I hadn’t even seen before.
So here’s a little rundown on some of my favorite new designers and some that I already adore. Enjoy! (and please excuse my crappy iPhone photos)

My step-dad is a craftsman and made me an amazing new walnut desk for our apartment and for my work station. Only problem is, getting it from Boston to NYC. It may require some type of U Haul action.
I digress. When I get my desk here, I think I need to put this on the wall in front of it. I have been spending way too much time on the computer lately. ‘Tis one thing that is very difficult about starting your own business and having work-a-holic tendencies – it’s hard to take a break.

Dutch Door Press is one of my favorite stationery brands, and currently putting out all kinds of gorgeous goods including these State Birds and Blooms letterpress art prints. 5″x7″ is the perfect size to frame all 50 of these beauties and make a state wall. Now I just need to find a wall……
(P.S. Dutch Door Press is coming to Mercier Beaucoup Stationery Shop and monthly subscriptions in the coming month!)
