AP and I returned last night from a super fun-filled weekend with friends in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I had never been there before, and was amazed by the beautiful shoreline, cozy homes, and gorgeous vegetation. It was such a pleasure to unwind and soak in the rays. We had lots of yummy meals including pizzas cooked on the grill, an amazing dinner of salmon, bean salad, quinoa and beet salad, with the most delicious mayo/shallot/red wine vinaigrette dressing. Mmmmmmmm. Not gonna lie, someone needs to take my pulse because I dialed down so far that I’m having a hard time keeping up with the normal flow of conversation today.
As much as I love my hectic New York City life with all it’s stimulus and excitement, it is beyond necessary for me to take it down ten notches on the regular to catch up with my thoughts and allow my brain to regain creative strength.
This string of quotes and artwork is often floating around the blogs, and I came across it again today. This time, I re-read it about three times and BELIEVE IT! I want to share it with all of you. You can buy your very own quote wall decal on Etsy here, and I have also typed it out below if you are having trouble reading it.
A good reminder for us all to pause and really think about where we are emotionally, physically, and mentally in this space and time.
“This is your life. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don’t like something, change it. If you don’t like your job, quit. If you don’t have enough time, stop watching TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop. They will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop analyzing. All emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Life is simple. Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people. We are united in our differences. Ask the next person you see what their passion is and share your inspiring dream with them. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them, so go out and start creating. Life is short. Life your dream and share your passion.”
